After losing multiple family members and friends to cancer – comedy juggler James Bustar knew he had to do something to support others battling through cancer.
The 29 year old funny-man, who juggles professionally across Australia and Europe by trade, wanted to do something unique and fun to add a bright side to the horrible disease – and to help raise awareness and support for the Cancer Council.
Having juggled everything from clocks through to samurai swords and even children, James has embarked on a fundraising challenge to juggle weird and wacky items every day, for 365 consecutive days.
Since commencing his challenge on the 26th of September, 2015 – James has juggled everything from clocks to matchbox cars – inviting followers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to nominate what he should juggle next.
James has set an ambitious goal of raising $10,000 for Cancer Council NSW – setting up a fundraising profile on JustGiving to amplify his fundraising efforts. He’s been sharing the link on Facebook and Twitter to direct family, friends and fans to the site to show him support.
James will also donate funds raised from the 365 Day Juggle Challenge to Cancer Research UK – hoping to help provide a laugh (no matter how stupid) whilst raising funds to support cancer research.
Originally from the UK, James moved to Australia at the ripe age of 11 – where he trained at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus in Albury Wodonga. He now travels across Australia and worldwide for his juggling show – currently on an 8 month trip visiting and performing in Turkey, Tunisia, Scotland, Spain and Greece.
JustGiving is the world’s leading social giving company, enabling over 22 million people to raise $4.1 billion for over 13,000 charities since launching in 2001.
